25 Days of Self Love

Give yourself the gift of love this silly season!

I’ve done Santa’s job and made the list; all you have to do is check it off!

Self-Care Sunday’s used to occur regularly in my house, then life happened and I’ve long since strayed from that weekly ritual. Since self-improvement is kinda my thing I understand that in order to grow, we must take action every single day! Starting on December 1st, I’m committing to showing up for myself every single day, no matter what! I would absolutely LOVE for you join me as I kickoff this countdown. Each day I will share my simple but effective(my favorite combo) self-care practices.

I mean it when I say these are simple, they won’t require much time, effort or money but I promise, they will leave you feeling refreshed and ready for the holidays!

  1. Breathe – Deep Cleansing breaths.
  2. Take a walk – get yourself outside in nature.
  3. Get creative – paint, write, pull out your camera, try a new recipe. Get into your right brain.
  4. Stretch before you get out of bed in the morning. That’s all. Stretch.
  5. Read a self-development book – check out my faves for some inspo.
  6. Set clear & specific goals – read more about goal setting here
  7. Take action towards the goals you set yesterday.
  8. Plan your meals for the week – my favorite cookbooks are here
  9. Detox from social media – I have some helpful tips for you here
  10. Catch the sunrise or sunset
  11. Declutter – Marie Kondo style
  12. Try a new workout or fitness class – want to know my favorite
  13. Turn off your wifi at night. This helps induce more restful sleep so you can and should do this every night.
  14. Put your phone on airplane mode at night and keep in on until you’ve completed your morning routine (breakfast, shower, drop kids off at school…)
  15. Try dry brushing before you shower. Read all about the benefits here.
  16. Give up one habit that doesn’t serve you. One habit & one day is all you need to feel better.
  17. Drink only water for a day. No coffee, soda, juice.
  18. Apologize. To someone you hurt, that someone could be you. it doesn’t even have to be verbal, but that certainly helps.
  19. Get dressed up and go somewhere.
  20. Organize your digital life. Photos, emails, etc. – drobox people
  21. Have a coffee or lunch date with a friend
  22. Create a vision board for the new year
  23. Find a Podcast or audible you can listen to when driving or working out. My go-to list is here
  24. Get a massage. Not in the budget? Give yourself a massage. Foam roller, massage ball, anything to get those knots and kinks out J
  25. Play. Be a kid again. Find wonder in the simple things.
  26. Pause – take a moment to just look around and appreciate all that you have. Find gratitude in the small things. If you are reading this and have participated in this journey, you are blessed. Don’t ever forget that J

Merry Christmas, friends. Wishing you a peaceful season full of love and joy.

xx
